Domestic Homicide Review (DHR) 11 identified a number of factors which contributed to the failure of services to protect a Polish woman experiencing domestic violence.
Informed by the Safer Cornwall Partnership Action Plan for DHR 11, The Women’s Centre Cornwall undertook a community engagement project in order to understand the local picture, take learnings from national best practice and provide concrete actions for improvements in Cornwall.
Over the course of the project, we have collaborated with women from Romanian, Bulgarian, Portuguese, and Ukrainian communities to both explore their experiences and co-produce the recommendations.
