Our Outreach services aim to reach women who may not otherwise be able to access our support. We meet women where they are.
Krefta Kernow supports women to access safe accommodation when fleeing domestic abuse and our Women’s Assertive Outreach Project supports women who are experiencing homelessness and rough sleeping.
Krefta Kernow supports people fleeing domestic abuse to access safe accommodation across Cornwall.
Krefta is a partnership project between The Women’s Centre Cornwall, West Cornwall Women’s Aid and Konnect, who deliver support to men.
Women need to either be currently housed in Cornwall, or physically be in the county at the time of referral. We can support women to access accommodation either in Cornwall, or anywhere across the UK.
We can support you if you have already made the decision to leave an abusive relationship, or if you are thinking about leaving.
To make a referral for yourself or someone else or if you have any questions, email kreftakernow@womenscentrecornwall.org.uk with a name and safest method of contact. Someone will respond within 48 hours or 72 hours if over a Bank Holiday.
You can also reach out to our partner agencies within the Krefta Kernow project; West Cornwall Women’s Aid & the men’s provider; Konnect.
You can refer yourself in, or a professional or organisation can make a referral for you.
The Women’s Assertive Outreach Service in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly is not currently taking referrals.
